Distorted Landscapes I

An abstract landscape shaped by pressure, erosion, and compressed visual fields.

Distorted Landscapes I

Distorted Landscapes I is an abstract landscape project about pressure, erosion, and the instability of natural form. The work does not depict landscape as scenery. Instead, it treats landscape as a field of forces: folded, compressed, broken, and reassembled through line and tonal density. The misspelled title is preserved as part of the project identity, suggesting a landscape that is not only distorted visually, but also displaced linguistically.

The project operates in a monochrome register where light and shadow become geological material. Forms gather into cliffs, waves, fissures, and mineral-like strata, yet they never settle into literal representation. The viewer is placed between aerial distance and microscopic proximity. The same surface can feel like a mountain range, a storm system, a fragment of fabric, or a psychological state.

As an exhibition project, Distorted Landscapes I proposes landscape as a condition of perception. It asks how far an image can move away from nature while still carrying the memory of terrain. For collectors, curators, and interior designers, the project offers a strong contemporary wall-art language: dark, atmospheric, intricate, and spatially charged.
